AASH AARON: DIRECTOR/SCREEN WRITER/PRODUCER

Rolf Meyer is a film composer who is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is completely professional and passionate about composing music for feature films and although Rolf is extremely easy going and collaborative, he is also not afraid to boldly offer new and fresh musical ideas to a Director. In my experience as a Director working with Rolf, even if I have a very good idea of the style of music I might want for my films, Rolf’s unique “way out of left field suggestions” are often far better than I ever could have imagined I wanted. Rolf’s musical choices always expand and elevate whatever material we are working on together. In fact, I am always excited to hear what original thematic offerings Rolf might present to me, as he is one of the most in-tune with “my filmmaking visions" composers I have ever worked with. Rolf’s strongest quality is that he understands that a movie’s “score” is its story's heart, soul & extra subliminal character added to a film and “this” was the main reason when I met him and heard his work that I knew as a filmmaker I wanted him to be a “partner in crime” with me on as many of my projects as I could get him on. I can't recommend anyone better than Rolf Meyer to compose a feature film score. He is so valuable to me as a filmmaker that I selfishly don’t really want to share him with anyone!

I had a pleasure of working with Rolf on my short film "Eddyct" and his music set the perfect mood for the film. His music supported the scenes very well and set the tone from the first scene.
